Bayona & O Rosal Wine Tasting Tour with Lunch in Santiago de Compostela

Your tour will depart from Santiago de Compostela and from there you will be taken to the famous coastal city of Bayona. This is where the replica of the "Pinta" ship can be found and the 16th century Monterreal fort.

Next you will visit a winery of the O Rosal wine region in Rias Baixas to begin your wine tasting adventure.

Then you will head over to A Guarda. There you will enjoy a delicious three course Galician lunch with wine of the O Rosal area.

The tour ends with a journey to Mount Santa Tegra, where you will visit one of the best castros of Galicia!

Summary:

30 DAYS MINIMUM ADVANCE BOOKING REQUIRED. This tour provides hotel pickup in Santiago. Minimum of 2 people required for reservation, maximum of 6 people. Rates are per person and in US dollars. Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 800-750-2859. There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

The Award-Winning Wine of Rias Biaxas
Wine in Galicia has a history tracing back to medieval times when the English would sail up the river Mino to buy wine from the area, although it is only in the last 20 years that Galician wine has claimed its place in the world of wine. The most important and most prestigious variety of grapes in the Rias Baixas is the Albarino grape. The Albarino wines made of 100% Albarino grape have received great recognition and success in both national and international wine markets, winning awards in various wine contests including the prestigious wine tasting of Bordeaux, France.

Tour Itinerary:

Depart the city of Santiago de Compostela.
Stop 1. The famous coastal city of Bayona, where the replica of the "Pinta" can be found and the 16th century Monterreal fort.
Stop 2. You will spend the next part of our day visiting a winery of the O Rosal wine region, D.O. Rias Baixas.
Stop 3. Next you will head over to A Guarda. There you will have a three course Galician lunch with wine of the O Rosal area.
Stop 4. You will make your way to Mount Santa Tegra where you visit one of the best castros of Galicia.
Day's end, drive back.
